Just stepping into this field. For the users to get the grasp of the size and scale of the objects populating our night (and day) skies, I take attention to keep the same scale (a field of view of about 41.2x27.5 arcminutes) and start by introducing the most familiar objects.

The center of our solar system - the Sun as seen through a 80mm refractor telescope equiped with a solar filter. Although taken in May 2012 when sun activity is expected to increase followin a peak into the Sun's 11 years cycle, the image captures only a few sun-spots, a sign of disruption of magnetic field.
