Build to frighten or to charm the castles of Europe, but not limited to are simply imposing. Their number is countless and each of them is unique. I've made a hobby from visiting and photographing them...
Build by the House of Gruyere somewhere in the mist of time before 11th century, the Chateau de Gruyere is today one of the most imposing landmarks of Switzerland. Gruyere cheese is also one of the most famous of the world, and is produced under the shadows of this mighty fortress. Winter time; sky color enhanced by using a polarized filter.
