Build to frighten or to charm the castles of Europe, but not limited to are simply imposing. Their number is countless and each of them is unique. I've made a hobby from visiting and photographing them...
13th century fairytale-like castle in Aosta Valley in Northern Italy. This castle was build by Challant Family to protect the trade route passing through the Alps and is designed with several levels of fortifications altered and improved through time. However, the castle was never attacked so the defense system were never proven.
