Build to frighten or to charm the castles of Europe, but not limited to are simply imposing. Their number is countless and each of them is unique. I've made a hobby from visiting and photographing them...

Menthon Saint Bernard Castle overlooks the small village of Menthon on the lake of Annecy, near the city of Annecy. The castle is still inhabited by the Menthon family, which was present here from the 11th century as the first recorded traces of the castle, but today, part of it is open to public as a museum. The most famous member of Menthon family was Saint Bernard, the patron saint of the travelers, who was born here and founded the two hospices of Grand Saint Bernard and Little Saint Bernard.
