Build to frighten or to charm the castles of Europe, but not limited to are simply imposing. Their number is countless and each of them is unique. I've made a hobby from visiting and photographing them...

The Castle of Prangins, on a hill above lake Geneva (Leman) between the cities of Lausanne and Geneva was build in the 18th century by a Swiss banker based in Paris on top of the ruins of a previous fortification. Today hosts the Swiss National History Museum focusing on the history of Switzerland from 1750 to 1920 in the 40 rooms opened for visitors. Dramatic late afternoon sky.
