Build to frighten or to charm the castles of Europe, but not limited to are simply imposing. Their number is countless and each of them is unique. I've made a hobby from visiting and photographing them...
The Peleş Castle complex was built in 1883 as a symbol of the monarchy ruling Romania during that time, under the supervision of Prince Carol of Hohenzollern. Later improvements were carried on in 1914. Today it is one of the most important touristic attraction of Romania, located in the Carpathian Mountains, close to the city of Sinaia, a popular winter resort. The misty weather gives a mysterious feel.
