Amsterdam, Brussels, Antwerp, Delft, Luxembourg city are just a few locations visited on the teritory of Benelux economic zone (containing Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg). With some exceptions, travelling to these locations was for other reasons than tourism.
Despite its neo-rennaissance aspect, the University library is quite recent: 1921, and it was build by americans as a gift to the city, partially destroyed during the first world war. However, the building was again destroyed in the second world war, but rebuit again. The building dominates the Laudeuzeplein (Laudeuze square), the largest square in the university city of Leuven, situated just 30km east of Brussels in Belgium.
