Just stepping into this field. For the users to get the grasp of the size and scale of the objects populating our night (and day) skies, I take attention to keep the same scale (a field of view of about 41.2x27.5 arcminutes) and start by introducing the most familiar objects.

The Pleiades (Seven Sisters or Messier M45) is an open star cluster in the constellation of Taurus. It is the nearest star cluster to Earth and one of the most recognized astronomical objects. A un-related dust cloud in the interstellar medium is passing between Earth and the Pleiades, causing a faint blue nebulosity around its stars. 100mm refractor telescope and about 15min exposure time.
