Collection of imagery from Italy. At the current stage covers mostly Piedmont, Tuscany and Liguria, but hopefuly will be extended in the future. During Easter 2011, a road-trip through Tuscany produced most of the current collection.
The Rapallo castle (Castello di Rapallo) is located in the city with the same name on the Ligurian coast in Italy, a few kilometers south of Genoa, near Portofino. It was build in 1551 to provide defence against the increasing pirate attacks. Each year on 3rd of July, the castle is set on fire (simulated) just to be put off during a fire extinguish exercise.
