The most recent visit to Japan was during the winter holidays of 2009-2010, and most of the pictures from this gallery date back from that period. They mostly cover Tokyo area.
Twilight view over Tokyo with Tokyo Tower the focal point of the image. Just behind another landmark of the city - Roppongi Hills Mori Tower. The dramatic cloudscape of the sunset was put in evidence using the HDR technique. The observation point is the World Trade Center in Hamamatsucho, Tokyo.
